Manually setting up a
Windows 95/98 PC for ICFC

1. If you do not have Dial Up Networking installed, you must install it using the Add/Remove programs dialog in Control Panel.

2. Once you have installed this, from the desktop double click on My Computer, and then Dial Up Networking.

3.Double click on the Make New Connection icon

4. Enter the name lcfc.net and ensure that your modem is shown in the dialog box, and then press Next.

5. The area code to dial is 0845 and the general number is 660 0754. For special connection types, see the table below: (These numbers are charged as a local rate call from within the United Kingdom).

Then click Next.

Now click Finish

4.Using the right hand mouse button, click on the icon for lcfc.net and choose Properties from the menu. Select the Server Types tab.

Deselect all boxes, leaving a tick in only TCP/IP. Next click on the TCP/IP Settings button.

Ensure your window looks the same as the above screenshot, with server specified IP address and name server addresses selected. Click OK.

Click OK again to return to Dialup Networking. Double click on lcfc.net to open the above window. Enter your username and password and click Connect to logon.
